Academic Enrichment Program
The North Shore Community Youth Organization is hosting the Summer Academic Enrichment Program. This year’s program will run from Monday, July 2nd to Friday, July 27th. Please see below for information regarding the dates, costs and grade level (your child’s grade level is the grade he/she is entering as of September 2018) for each program. This year’s program will be held at Glen Head Elementary School, 7 School Street, Glen Head.
Each student is required to pay an annual membership fee to the North Shore Boys & Girls Club. This $50.00 fee (per student) allows the student to participate in the summer program along with other activities/programs offered by the North Shore Boys & Girls Club for the reminder of the calendar year. No discounts apply to membership fees.
All students must submit a completed medical form. Copies of school medical forms and immunizations will be accepted as long as they are valid trough July 31st. Copies must be acquired by you from the school and submitted with registration. We can not allow any student to begin on the first day without proper medical clearance.
There is a shuttle bus that runs between Glen Head Elementary School and Tappen Pool (swim classes). The shuttle has a bus monitor on it at all times. Any use of the Shuttle is a $35.00 fee per week. No discounts apply to shuttle bus fees.
4 Week Special
Any student enrolled in all 4 weeks of the same course is eligible for a 10% discount on that course only except swim lessons. No other discount may be combined with the 4 Week Special.
Recommendation Letter Discount
Any student that has a recommendation letter from the school principal for Math, Reading, Writing or Elementary Challenge, will be given a 10% discount for that course only. This can be combined with the 4 Week Special, allowing 20% off for that course only.
Refunds will be given prior to a class beginning or after the 1st day. Once your child has attended two days of classes within a session, there will be no refund.
Please register early as classes fill up quickly
Courses will be closed to registration based on a predetermined class size, keeping in mind students’ safety, staffing and fire regulations. The administration will try to honor any special requests included on the registration form.
Classes may be canceled due to insufficient enrollment or staffing. Full refunds will be given in such cases.
